As you guys will know from my social media activity, I’ve been well and truly sunning up a storm on the beautiful island of Mallorca. Before I headed away, the lovely folks from Marks & Spencer reached out and offered to send me a pair of David Gandy’s hugely popular swim shorts he designed for M&S’s in-house brand, Autograph.

If you’ve checked out some of my previous posts, or if you’re just a total style God, you'll be aware that tailored swimmers are more than perfect for getting that sartorial summer look that has been so popular this year. The on-point collection by David was really well publicised before launch, which really explains why in the FIRST DAY the whole range had pretty much sold out…I, along with many other 30” waists around the UK were totally gutted to not be able to get hold of a pair, however my wish came true when an email popped up from them, and whilst it was a 32” I was sent, thanks to the adjustable elastic waist that is niftily build in to every pair, this was zero problem to me, simply pull out the elastic and button it in place, they are actually a perfect fit now…I think I am getting a little big for 30” but not quite big enough for 32” waists…oh the pain!!

These have genuinely been a style staple of my summer so far - whilst they are obviously swimming trunks and make the perfect addition to your beach/pool outfit, due to the tailored cut and on-trend dogtooth pattern, they are also great for wearing around town or out for lunch…seriously, you’ll be the best dressed guy and no one will even know you aren't wearing boxers…erm win-win if you ask me!

If you can get hold of your size I would definitely say it is worth buying a pair, M&S have really changed their image lately, getting the lord of dapper, Mr David Gandy to design a collection is a really smart move, if anyone can design a smart, stylishly forward collection, he can. The shorts start at £25.00 and are available here

I have also been lucky enough to get a peek at their next move in to being a serious contender in the land of syle, Sports Luxe…do I need to say any more? I am a HUGE fan of the whole collection, it’s forward-thinking and ridiculously on trend…I will definitely be hoping to check that one out, I'm sure this one will be taking AW15 by storm!!
