I am always keen to keep my wardrobe updated to keep it fresh each season, so when New Look got in touch to ask if I could pick some season staples, I knew this was one for me.
The guys over at New Look challenged me to pick 4 items to style together and make an on-point seasonal outfit. The total for the outfit came in at £85, which isn’t bad at all for a complete look! If you haven't already had a look, the latest collections from New Look’s Menswear department are absolutely awesome and totally worth checking out!
Now on to my look - I am a big fan of the ripped trend at the minute, and rather than just chucking my clothes at a pack of angry wolves, I opt for buying pre-ripped clothing for ease. I picked their extreme ripped super-skinny jeans - I have to admit I am really impressed with the quality, it’s the first time I have ever had any denim from New Look and at £29.99 they’re a total bargain for what they are.
To add to the extreme ripped look, I chose their Stone Ripped Tee. I am really in to the beige/stone colour look at the minute and it works great for the spring-summer seasons. The tee itself is really comfortable and lightweight, it’ll be great for wearing on your sunny trips this year and at £12.99 it won’t break the bank either.
I really like the chunky contrast-sole trend that’s been around for a minute, it’s not a trend I had actually worn because I just hadn't found the right shoe, but the Black Woven Contrast Sole Trainer totally caught my eye. They’re made from leather-look materials and the woven detail adds something a little bit different to the look - the flat white sole and deep black upper contrast each other really well, and they’re pretty comfortable too! You can pick these up for £34.99.
You’ve got to accessorise your look, and sunnies are a definite seasonal essential…even if the weather is more like winter than spring. At £7.99, the Black T-Bar sunglasses are more than affordable, and you will also be able to rest easy knowing that the Category 3 tinted lenses will protect your eyes for standard day-to-day usage.
So, these are my style staples from New Look’s Menswear department. What are your style must-haves this season? Are you following the ripped trend or opting for something different? Let me know in the comments below, or over on social media!
