UPDATED: Favourite New Store!

Please note: OPEN are no longer trading online and will be closing stores, too.

Back again, second blog post in 2 days…I am on a roll/have loads of content and not enough time!! Recently I got contacted by a relatively new men’s clothing brand called OPEN - to be honest I hadn't heard of them at all until they contacted and as you may know, I don’t just work with everyone that contacts me so I had a good look through their range and was seriously impressed!

So, it turns out OPEN are actually set to become pretty big, why? Well because they are part of the mighty JD Sports group! JD have branched out and create a brand that is set to take on the likes of Topman and Burton BUT without their hefty price tags. I’ve actually done quite a bit of research on the brand because I am super interested in what they’re about. So it looks like their team features an ex-Karen Millen director and ex-Blue Inc buyer/design director…that’s pretty bloody impressive!

They let me pick some items I wanted to try out and style up, it was a pretty tough choice! As you can see I went for the really cool Stiplefield Cut & Stitch style shirt - I went for this because when watching Im A Celeb there was a really similar one that Ant was wearing, further research showed it to be around £400 and I am absolutely not paying that for a shirt! The OPEN Stiplefield is a much more reasonable £20.00 and currently have a HUGE 50% off so you can bag it for just £10! Click to have a look. I was genuinely so impressed with the quality and have been wearing it loads, you can’t go wrong when a £10 compares to shirts 4-5 times the price!

I was also in the market for a new coat - they have a fantastic selection of coats and I am normally savvy to a parka style coat, however this time I went for a completely different style. The £45 Archer is a super warm canvas style coat - it is fully lined and is so comfy, plus it is down to just £30 in their sale - i’d take a look if I were you! I have only one complaint about this coat and looking at the website I now see the issue clear as day. The toggles for the hood are so long! If you look at the site you’ll see they have them sort of twisted up but when you unroll them they look a bit silly and flap around all over the place, I have learned a nifty trick to tuck them in to my coat.

Finally I also got the Hardwicke hoodie in blue - for a £30 hoodie I thought it would be kind of average but I am really impressed, it is so thick lined with a wool-like fluff perfect for chilly evenings - this is a really good quality hoodie, I have zero complaints on a whole! Plus a bonus…it’s half price!! Check it out here

I genuinely recommend checking out OPEN - not only online but they also have stores - unfortunately there isn't one in my local area BUT I guess if all goes well they may look at opening some more soon! It’s definitely a brand to look out for, they are going places and I reckon it’ll all happen very quick - I'm sure they have some awesome projects under way too!
